OH TERA !

My hindi's not very weak, and i'm not a himesh "topimaster" reshamwatsitcalled fan. the title is not OH teri!(for the linguistically challenged, that roughly translates to WTF), or an adaptation of ohhh huzoooor, tera tera teraaaaaaaaaaaaa (tsk tsk had to tht once, dint i).
so what is this O Tera!
check out my archives and you'll know what this means. tera, thirteen, months of blogging. So i'm past my 'bloggiversary'. a whole month past, and i don't even remember the actual date. On the positive side, i don't consider that as holy sacrilege and am more than willing to strain 4 muscles of a certain finger of mine to anyone who does. Now, i realize that it's supposed to be a SPECIAL post, filled with fond memories, ups and downs, twists et al, but as you can pretty well make out, it's not.
I just thought, since i inflicted a torturous tour of my blog upon myself, reading past posts, might as well share it. Only, you have it easier, coz I picked out what i thought was the least worst, and i've put links, sometimes i think i'm too nice!

PS:waddya know, there's 13 of them!! Co-incidence is a fickle lady!
PPS:My my, it's amazing, i'm nostalgic

Nice joke here

That's the way it should be

It's a beautiful cycle.......
The most unfair thing about life is the way it ends. I mean, life is tough. It takes up a lot of your time. What do you get at the end of it? A death. What's that, a bonus? I think the life cycle is all backwards.
You should die first, you know, start out dead, get it out of the way. You wake up in an old age home, feeling better every day. You get kicked out for being too healthy, go collect your pension, then, when you start work, you get a gold watch on your first day. You work 40 years until you're young enough to enjoy your retirement. You drink like a fish, eat all you want, and party your ass off -- you've only
got a few years left, so why not?

Then you get ready for High School. You go to primary school, you become a kid, you play, you have no responsibilities, you become a baby, then, you spend your last 9 months floating peacefully with luxuries like central heating, spa, room service on tap, larger quarters everyday, and THEN you finish off as an orgasm!
EDIT: PEOPLE, THE IDEAA OF THIS POST IS A STOLEN ONE!!

last day?

that's it.
school's closed down early, summer vacations have started 3 days early. On the downside, investiture got cancelled, we didn't have any last day celebrations other than discussing all the cartoons we used to watch and how we used to eat crax and fun flips. On the upside, chhutiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!!!!
plus, 6 students from dps rkp, me, shri roshan shankar(dats wat he wuz called), dakshina, arushi, vrinda nd manpreet went to rashtrapati bhavan to meet our president, abdul kalam on the reservations issue. the talk itself wasn't much, but 'president house' is SIMPLY BREATHTAKING.
Once you enter(from gate no 63) on the left, on the right gardens stretch till no end. a few turns later you reach the parking, where there is a massive courtyard. from there, the reception is the next stop. needless to say HUGE. Then comes the waiting room. Enroute, you see fountains and more gardens. Once in the corridor, it's tooo long to see the end and of course it has doors and doors and more doors.
Truly, the experience was awesome. Imagine, sitting in a room with the president, where all the heads of states etc etc sit, talking with the president for 20 minutes, in the case of manpreet- scolding the president, after having some army hotshot profusely apologizing for the delay.
and i quote- "apni to aukaad badh gayee yaar"

PS- roshan's posted this story- "Alien Invasion" which we'd written in 8th standard and won first prize for in a storytelling competition. the names, the ideas are just tooo gud.

finalment

it's been ages since i posted, probably the calendar's gone too far back. anyway, like i've been saying to so many people, they make us study in 12th (damn it!!), and after not studying in 11th you get some conscience telling you, "chalo iss saal thoda serious ho jaa". And so i've been attending classes, doing homework.... the likes. kintu parantu lekin, ab bahut ho gaya.. school's a rut, morning march past, it isn't even funny anymore, boring classes (someone or the other is always caught sleeping in chemistry class), mrs C coming everyday to our class in the last period, opening the door and presto, going away.
Fiasco aka XIM blog tragedy, blah blah, we need rejuvenation and what better way than to return to blogging, so doston, dushmanon, i request you, ek comment to maar dena, and i shall post uhhm regularly too. plus, i've got my sash of Deputy Head Boy, so im happyy!

since, it's a come-back post, might as well make it meaningful. We're in our 12th, one more year of school, and after that graduation. All very well, except that some of us might not manage to get into good colleges, thanks to arjun singh, hrd minister's proposal of increasing reservations in govt. institutions, of course he suggested it for the private sector, too. So effectively, this decision affects us the most.
Everyone wants the country to be uplifted, everyone wants education for all, the point is the action is at the wrong level. Children from "backward classes" are no different from us, if they're given education they can compete with us. the problem is the millions of others who don't get the primary education. THAT is where effort is needed, a bill is needed.
Now, we don't see any politician(read law makers in parliament) saying anything against this, for the fear of losing their votes. it's all very sad etc, but it also means that someone has to make noise. and many thanks to our seniors from colleges like MAMC, AIIMS etc who are carrying out protests, braving the lathis, and violence of the police. i kid you not, VIOLENCE.
One last thing, the fight is not against people of our own country, the so-called "backward classes", they too are our brothers, the fight is for merit, for quality, to raise the country..
